Clinton is known for being the home to one of the largest lakes in the state of Illinois. The Clinton Lake/Mascoutin State Recreational Area offers over 16,000 acres of camping, fishing, boating, and fun-in-the-sun activities.
Clinton has many local attractions including the historical C.H. Moore Homestead, The Dewitt County Museum, Weldon Springs State Recreational Area, Clinton Lake Sailing Regattas, and the North Fork Access Canoe Trail, just to mention a few.
Many community activities and festivals are offered in Clinton including the annual Apple-N-Pork Festival where over 70,000 visitors are welcomed to Clinton for a weekend of shopping and time forgotten skills demonstrations.
